PSV Eindhoven thrash ADO Den Haag 7-0

Defending champions PSV Eindhoven laid down the gauntlet to their rivals following a imperious 7-0 away win over ADO Den Haag.

Mark van Bommel's men were relentless from start to finish with two stoppage-time goals at the end of the second half, signalling his side's constant threat throughout.

Hirving Lozano pounced on Lex Immers wayward back pass to put the visitors ahead after poking the ball past goalkeeper Indy Groothuizen.

Another defensive mistake gifted PSV a second just before the break with Luuk De Jong heading in Angelino's cross following another sloppy pass in midfield from Elson Hooi.

PSV scored five after the restart with Gaston Pereiro scoring the first of two penalties in the 54th minute.

Substitute Erick Gutierrez found his Mexican compatriot Lozano in space and the forward lofted the ball over Groothuizen in the 73rd. Gutierrez then turned from provider to scorer with the game's standout strike in the 75th when he thumped in from the edge of the area.

Forward Steven Bergwijn made it 6-0 in the 92nd minute before Pereiro converted from the spot in the 95th minute to complete the rout.

PSV move up to 15 points, five clear of second-placed Ajax, who face Groningen later on Saturday (15th September). ADO Den Haag remain in eighth place with six points from their opening five matc
