Since 1997, the eighteen Eredivisie clubs have united in an independent legal form: Eredivisie CV. Eredivisie CV is the football organisation responsible for further development of the elite competition in the Netherlands, in commercial, organisational, strategic and branding terms. The aim is to improve the quality of football in the Netherlands and deliver optimal sporting performances.

Our responsibilities

The Eredivisie CV has the following responsibilities:

  1. Representing the interests of Eredivisie clubs collectively, both nationally and internationally.
  2. Promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing among Eredivisie clubs, for example, by organizing knowledge sessions and platforms.
  3. Collaborating with or maintaining contacts with the Cooperation First Division (Keuken Kampioen Divisie), Eredivisie Media & Marketing CV (ESPN), the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB), and third-party stakeholders in football.
  4. Positioning and profiling the Eredivisie nationally and internationally as an attractive league.
  5. Commercially exploiting the Eredivisie.
  6. Providing innovations in relevant areas for Eredivisie clubs.

Our vision

The creation of a league where millions of fans, both domestically and internationally, follow unpredictable matches with plenty of goals. A league where homegrown young talents join forces with experienced top players from both the domestic and international scenes.
