Matchweeks 22 to 32 of the Eredivisie confirmed

The second half of the Eredivisie season gets underway with a standout fixture: N.E.C. Nijmegen vs FC Utrecht on Friday 9 January at 20:00. Four matches are scheduled for Saturday 10 January, with the remaining eight clubs in action on Sunday. See the full fixture list for Matchweek 18 below.

Matchweek 19 promises to be just as compelling, with no fewer than three derbies scheduled for Sunday 18 January 2026. The action gets underway at 12:15 with the Derby of the North (sc Heerenveen vs FC Groningen). Later in the afternoon, tune in at 14:30 on ESPN for the Twente Derby (Heracles Almelo vs FC Twente), before the matchweek concludes with the Rotterdam Derby (Feyenoord vs Sparta Rotterdam).

Several Eredivisie clubs may be without key players in January. The Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco from 21 December to 18 January 2026, meaning players such as Ismael Saibari (Morocco), Anass Salah-Eddine (Morocco), Anis Hadj Moussa (Algeria), Ramiz Zerrouki (Algeria) and Saïd Bakari (Comoros) will be on international duty for their respective national teams.

The first major showdown of the new year takes place on Sunday 1 February, when PSV host Feyenoord at the Philips Stadion at 14:30. In their earlier meeting in October, PSV edged past Feyenoord with a 3–2 victory, inspired by an Ismael Saibari hat-trick.

De Klassieker between Feyenoord and Ajax is scheduled for Sunday 22 March at 14:30. One matchweek later, on Sunday 5 April, the IJssel Derby between Go Ahead Eagles and PEC Zwolle kicks off at 12:15. Another headline fixture follows on Saturday 2 May at 20:00, when Ajax host PSV.

The final matchweek concludes on Sunday 17 May at 14:30 with two derbies: the Vissersderby between FC Volendam and Telstar, and the Rotterdam Derby featuring Sparta Rotterdam and Excelsior Rotterdam.

The match AZ vs Excelsior Rotterdam, originally scheduled for Sunday 14 December, has been rescheduled due to AZ’s European commitments. The fixture will now be played on Wednesday 21 January 2026 at 18:45.

Compared to the previously communicated fixture list, the match Go Ahead Eagles vs sc Heerenveen have also been moved. At the request of the home clubs, these fixtures will no longer be played on Sunday 25 January, but instead on Wednesday 11 February. Kick-off at De Adelaarshorst will be at 20:00.

Eredivisie matches may be rescheduled at the request of Dutch clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League, allowing them more time to recover from previous fixtures or to better prepare for upcoming European matches.

In addition to sporting considerations, the professional football fixture lists are drawn up with careful attention to the many requests and constraints submitted ahead of the season by local authorities, clubs, supporters and ESPN. Throughout the process, the schedule is discussed with the Professional Football Competitions Board (KNVB, Eredivisie CV and Coöperatie Eerste Divisie), Supporterscollectief Nederland, the Central Players’ Council (CSR), the Central Coaches’ Council (CTR), ESPN and all clubs.

The fixture schedule remains subject to change, depending on the KNVB Cup calendar or European commitments of the teams involved.
