KPN eDivisie Finals: A masterful stage for the grand finale of season eight

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, a unique fusion of digital sport and classical art will take place: the KPN eDivisie Finals will be held in the Gallery of Honour at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam — right in front of Rembrandt van Rijn’s iconic masterpiece, The Night Watch.

Finals among Dutch Masters

Eight Eredivisie clubs have secured their place in this prestigious finale: Ajax, Almere City FC, AZ, FC Twente, FC Utrecht, Feyenoord, Heracles Almelo, and Willem II. Each team is represented by top-tier esports players who will battle it out for the Dutch championship title in EA SPORTS FC 25 and a share of the €50,000 prize pool.

It marks the first time an esports event is being held inside the Netherlands’ national museum. The choice of venue—the Rijksmuseum’s Gallery of Honour—underscores the growing recognition of esports as a legitimate and celebrated part of modern culture. It’s a breathtaking setting where past and future meet: the Dutch Masters of the KPN eDivisie, competing among the great Masters of Dutch art.

Qualification for International Tournaments

In addition to the national title, international glory is also on the line. The four semifinalists will earn spots in the eChampions League, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the global EA SPORTS FC scene. For the two finalists, the celebration is even bigger—they will also qualify for the EA SPORTS FC World Championship, making these KPN eDivisie Finals a pivotal step on the road to global stardom.

Don’t miss this unique finale

While the event is invite-only, fans won’t have to miss a moment. The entire final will be broadcast live on ESPN 3 and the KPN eDivisie’s YouTube and Twitch channels. Coverage begins at 20:00 CET.
