Feyenoord win 4-1 against Emmen

Feyenoord kept up the pressure on PSV Eindhoven and Ajax at the top of the Dutch Eredivisie with a 4-1 victory against FC Emmen on Sunday.

A fifth straight league win keeps Feyenoord in third place, seven points behind leaders PSV and five adrift of Ajax.

Emmen, newly promoted to the top tier for the first time this season, proved worthy opponents in a goalless first half, but were overwhelmed by the 15-time champions in the second.

Jan-Arie van der Heijden touched a Steven Berghuis strike into the net to open the scoring in the 63rd minute.

Berghuis then made it 2-0 before Anco Jansen pulled one back to keep the home side in the game.

A goal from 17-year-old Orkun Kokcu on his Eredivisie debut and a penalty from Vilhena wrapped up the win for Feyenoord - their 11th in 15 league games.
