FC Groningen is the new leader in Fair Play Ranking (March)

FC Groningen is the new leader of the Eredivisie Fair Play Ranking. The Groningen club overtook PSV (leaders since October) with a score of 12.7 points, followed by PSV Eindhoven (12.4) and FC Volendam (12.3).

In this ranking, determined on the basis of objective match data, Groningen scores highly due to a combination of a low number of fouls (240) and very few cards (only 35 yellow cards and two red cards).

Last season, PSV was the first club to be honoured with a Fair Play Award at the Eredivisie Awards. This award is presented annually in partnership with ESPN and Holland Casino, responsible betting partner of Dutch professional football.
