Ajax - Feyenoord resumes on Wednesday at 2:00 pm without fans

Yesterday afternoon, the Ajax - Feyenoord match was definitively suspended after 55 minutes because fireworks were thrown onto the field from the stands on two separate occasions.

After a halted match, the competition board for professional football determines what happens to the match. The guiding principle is to ensure the competition proceeds as fairly as possible, and the preference is to have the match decided on the field. The match will then be resumed as soon as possible. The timing has been set in consultation with the city of Amsterdam.

This means that the Ajax - FC Volendam match, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 27th (at 9:00 PM), will be postponed to a later date.
