Vitesse were held to a 1-1 draw by ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie on Saturday (22nd September).
Vitesse were looking for a second successive victory when they entertained ninth-placed ADO Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.
The home-side started well, scoring their opener through Tim Matavz in the 18th minute. They continued to dominate the first half and held 72 per cent of the possession.
ADO Den Haag came back into the game with a changed attitude, which started when Sheraldo Becker hit the bar in the 56th minute, and Eduardo in Vitesse's goal punched the rebound from Becker's shot out of play.
In the 65th minute, Eduardo panicked and his clearance ricocheted off Nasser El Khayati's leg into the back of the net.
The sides exchanged chances but could not score a winner, which saw the match end with a 1-1 draw.
With this draw Vitesse sit in seventh place in the Eredivisie standings on nine points, while Den Haag lie in ninth place on seven points.
