The Eredivisie has become the latest league to adopt the use of a video assistant referee (VAR) system.
FIFA confirmed earlier this month that VAR will be used in the World Cup and the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) has followed suit.
VAR will be used in La Liga from the 2018-19 season and the Eredivisie will also adopt the technology following successful testing in the KNVB Cup.
"Of course we have been working in the background for a while, but the introduction of the VAR will really take shape in the coming months," said KNVB general director Eric Gudde.
"I am therefore looking forward to the moment we will really start on Friday August 11 at the start of the Eredivisie."
VAR is already used in the Bundesliga, Serie A, Major League Soccer in the United States and Australia's A-League, while trials have been carried out in English cup competitions.
However, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has confirmed the technology will not be introduced in the Champions League next season.
