PSV main supplier of Eredivisie Team of the Month for April
PSV leads with seven players in the Eredivisie Team of the Month. Alongside Johan Bakayoko, Luuk de Jong, Malik Tillman, Joey Veerman, Olivier Boscagli, Jordan Teze, and Mauro Júnior also make up the team. Sam Lammers (FC Utrecht), Mathias Kjølø (FC Twente), and Dávid Hancko (Feyenoord) complete the selection on the pitch.
Noteworthy is the nomination of FC Volendam goalkeeper Mio Backhaus. The 20-year-old goalkeeper was in contention for the talent award for a long time but fell just short in the rankings. Backhaus made a remarkable 30 saves in April (at least nine more than any other goalkeeper), had a save percentage of 80.6%, and according to data, prevented at least 5.2 goals (with 12.2 expected goals conceded and seven goals against), nearly three more than any other goalkeeper.

Eredivisie Awards
The Eredivisie Player of the Month, Johan Cruyff Talent of the Month and Eredivisie Team of the Month are selected on the basis of statistics (Opta) and votes from football fans (KPN Man of the Match). These criteria also play a role in establishing the shortlist for the Eredivisie Player of the Year and Johan Cruyff Talent of the Year awards. These awards, along with the Azerion Vrouwen Eredivisie awards, will be presented during the Eredivisie Awards ceremony (2 September 2024).
