Mika Godts has been named Johan Cruyff Talent of the Month for the second time this season. The 20-year-old Ajax forward received the award on Thursday at the club’s training complex, De Toekomst.
Four goal involvements and most dribbles
Godts was involved in four goals during February. The Belgian scored twice against Fortuna Sittard and once against N.E.C. Nijmegen. In the match against Fortuna, he also provided an assist for Rayane Bounida. No player in the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie was involved in more goals last month.
In addition, Godts recorded eleven shots, created ten chances and completed the most dribbles in the competition: 29 in total, nine of them successful.

Second monthly award
For Mika Godts, this marks his second Johan Cruyff Talent of the Month award. He previously won the prize earlier this season in November, when he was also involved in four goals (three goals and one assist).
As part of the award, Godts receives a €2,500 cheque on behalf of the VriendenLoterij for the Ajax Foundation. An additional €5,000 will be donated to social projects run by the Johan Cruyff Foundation.
About the selection
The Player of the Month and Johan Cruyff Talent of the Month awards are based on Opta statistics, incorporating more than sixty different metrics.
These figures also contribute to the selection of the Player of the Year and Johan Cruyff Talent of the Year, which will be presented on 25 May during the Eredivisie Awards.
The monthly awards are an initiative of Eredivisie CV in collaboration with ESPN, the VriendenLoterij and the Johan Cruyff Foundation.
