The Eredivisie match between sc Heerenveen and Almere City FC has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 19 (8:00 PM). The KNVB had originally planned the match for May 5, 2025, but reconsidered its decision following objections from both sc Heerenveen and the municipality of Heerenveen.
Easter weekend schedule
Shortly after the initial announcement, the KNVB stated that it was looking for a new date for the match. A new playing date has now been found during the Easter weekend. No regular Eredivisie round was originally scheduled for that weekend due to the KNVB Cup final on Easter Monday.
With this rescheduling, two Eredivisie matches will now take place that weekend: FC Utrecht vs. Ajax, previously scheduled for Sunday, April 20 (12:15 PM), and now sc Heerenveen vs. Almere City FC. Since all four clubs have already been eliminated from the cup tournament, the change does not pose any conflicts.
