If PSV clinches the Eredivisie championship on Sunday, Hans van Breukelen will present the trophy. PSV has assigned this noble task to their former goalkeeper and former member of the Board of Directors. The 73-time international player considers it 'a great honor' to officially crown PSV as the national champion.
Before that happens, PSV still needs to gather at least one point. This can happen at the earliest in the home match against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday, May 5th. If Peter Bosz's team draws or wins then, the championship will be official, and the trophy will be awarded immediately after the match.
"I consider it a great honor to present the trophy," says Hans van Breukelen. "I've thoroughly enjoyed the excellent football displayed by Peter Bosz's team this season. It makes it extra special for me to hand over the trophy."
