Feyenoord lost ground on the top two in the Dutch Eredivisie as they were beaten 2-0 at home by Fortuna Sittard on Sunday.
Neither side was able to find the net in an opening period short on chances. Soon after the restart Lars Hutten put the visitors ahead. At the other end, Fortuna goalkeeper Alexei Koselev was called into action but never seriously tested.
Hutten came close to adding a second from a quick breakaway - and as Feyenoord continued to miss their chances up front - Ahmed El Messaoudi made it 2-0 in stoppage time.
Feyenoord stay third with 35 points, 10 behind leaders PSV and 8 adrift of Ajax. Fortuna Sittard are 10th with 19 points.
