Feyenoord's Dutch Eredivisie meeting with VVV-Venlo had to be suspended after the floodlights failed in the opening minute of Sunday's (4th November) match.
Following last weekend's 3-0 defeat away to Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie, Feyenoord were aiming get back to winning way when they hosted VVV-Venlo on Sunday.
However, the floodlights at Stadion Feijenoord failed less than a minute into the match, forcing referee Bas Nijhuis to call a temporary halt to proceedings.
Ground staff were unable to rectify the problem and after a 30-minute delay the match was suspended until a later date.
Feyenoord's players returned to the pitch to thank supporters for their patience and captain Robin van Persie made one jubilant fan's day by giving him his shirt.
