The Eredivisie CV and 18 Eredivisie clubs are delighted to announce a three-year agreement with global gaming developers First Touch Games. The deal will allow the Eredivisie to reach a global audience, with the 18 clubs appearing in the new version of mobile football game Score! Hero 2.
The global release of Score! Hero 2 is the sequel to the original and renowned hit, Score! Hero. The original game has been a feature of the mobile games market for more than 5 years, achieving over 300 million downloads around the world and with millions still playing the game every day.
Score! Hero 2 builds on this legacy with a host of enhancements, the pinnacle of which is the introduction of real teams licensed from the very best leagues across Europe. The partnership with the Eredivisie, which includes all teams in the Eredivisie 2020/21 season and for the following two seasons, features as an anchor property in the game. In addition to the Eredivisie, the Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga and Belgian Pro League also appear in the game.
Charles Chapman, CEO of First Touch Games, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Eredivisie for the launch of Score! Hero 2. The Eredivisie is amongst the most admired and respected football leagues in the world, displaying an abundance of skill, quality and class that is a joy to watch. It is these qualities that we aim to bring to Score! Hero 2, underpinning its success for many years to come.”
Marc Rondagh, Business Development Manager of the Eredivisie, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be featured in FTG’s exciting new football game. Score! Hero 2 offers us a platform to reach new young fans, to engage existing fans more and boost the Eredivisie’s profile on an international level. In addition, the game adds a lot of excitement in days when there is no football.”
