POS (Platform for Entrepreneurial Sports Providers) has signed a cooperation agreement with Eredivisie CV. Through this partnership, both parties are joining forces to further promote sports and physical activity in the Netherlands and reach a larger audience.
Eredivisie CV, the football organization responsible for the (inter)national development of the Netherlands' top-tier league, has a vast reach of approximately 9 million football fans and significant influence within the sports industry. Through its partnership with the organization for entrepreneurial sports providers, more innovative initiatives can be launched to increase sports participation in the Netherlands.
Joining forces for a fitter Netherlands
The cooperation agreement marks an important step in the shared ambition to make sports more accessible to everyone.
The Eredivisie believes in the unique power of football—whether it’s connecting people, fostering personal development, promoting a healthier lifestyle, or raising awareness of sustainable behavior. Like POS, Eredivisie CV, together with its eighteen clubs, partners, and supporters, is committed to expanding its positive social impact.
Jan de Jong, CEO of Eredivisie CV: "In life, you need to make sure you're sitting at the right negotiation tables. If you're not at the table, you might end up on the menu. POS helps us in this regard, strengthening our lobbying efforts and improving our position in The Hague. Moreover, this organization is becoming stronger, more influential, and larger. That makes it a fantastic partner for the Eredivisie to align with. The political world can no longer ignore entrepreneurs in sports—that much is clear. And that’s a great position to be in!"
Lodewijk Klootwijk, CEO of POS: "We at POS are very pleased with Eredivisie CV joining our sports umbrella organization. We see great opportunities to make the Netherlands fitter and more vital together. The reach of Eredivisie CV is incredibly vast. Combining this reach with the sports offerings across the Netherlands could lead to a significant increase in sports participation in our country."
