Eredivisie announces partnerships for international rights with IMG and Infront

The Eredivisie today announces the assignment of IMG and Infront as its partners, as a result of an RFP for the league’s international rights. Both agreements run for five seasons, from the 2025-2026 until the 2029-2030 season.

On 6 February 2024, The Eredivisie agreed with The Walt Disney Company on the renewal terms of the joint venture Eredivisie Media & Marketing (EMM), ensuring that ESPN will retain the domestic rights to the league for the same period, following the 2024-2025 season.

As part of this new domestic broadcasting agreement, the international rights will return to the Eredivisie CV organization from the 2025-2026 season onwards. To prepare for this new cycle, the Eredivisie launched an RFP for the international rights last April.

The result of the RFP process is the assignment of IMG as partner for the international media rights and Infront as partner for the video streaming rights for official licensed sportsbook clients. Earlier this year, all 18 clubs voted in favor of both agreements.

Bas Raemakers (Head of International Commerce & Strategy): “We are delighted to announce the partnership with two of the most respected international agencies in our industry. This reflects the positive development of the Eredivisie’s international appeal, driven by the European performance of our clubs and by the increasing quality of international players in the league. Also, the process together with all 18 clubs shows the shared ambition for international growth.”

IMG has been a long-standing partner of the Eredivisie. The agency has a proven international track record and works with some of the world’s leading football leagues and federations to collaboratively drive growth through a wide range of advisory, commercial and production services and capabilities, including the Premier League, CONMEBOL, English Football League (EFL) and Belgian Pro League.
