Denzel Dumfries was upset that PSV had dropped two unnecessary points at FC Twente on Sunday afternoon. “We could and should have won the game”, he said, meeting the media after the match.
PSV completely dominated the game for sixty minutes and created plenty of chances but failed to convert them into goals. “We had a great many opportunities to put the game to bed and should have scored a number of goals”, said Dumfries.
The PSV captain did not point a finger of blame at the forwards. “They are not to blame. We are a team and I know we can do better”, he said in support of his team mates. To be honest, I had not expected FC Twente to score an equaliser. We have dropped two vital points and must learn from our mistakes.”
