Jakob Breum named Player of the Month for March
Jakob Breum has been named Player of the Month for March in the Eredivisie. The 22-year-old Go Ahead Eagles midfielder claims the monthly award for the first time.

Go Ahead Eagles had a mixed month, picking up three points from three matches. They lost to FC Twente (1-4) and FC Utrecht (0-2), but demolished NAC Breda (6-0). Jakob Breum stood out regardless. Beyond scoring in the home match against FC Twente, the Danish midfielder bagged a hat-trick against NAC Breda.
With four goals, Breum shares the top-scorer honors for March with Ayase Ueda. He needed just 233 minutes to get there. One goal every 58 minutes. His shooting was razor-sharp too. All six of his shots were on target, with four finding the net.
The midfielder also recorded a pass accuracy of 88.3 percent in March, completing 98 of his 111 passes. He also completed eight of nine dribbles, giving him the highest dribble success rate in the Eredivisie that month at 89 percent.
Most valuable player of the century
The hat-trick against NAC Breda was Breum's second of the season in the league. That makes him only the third Go Ahead Eagles player to score at least two league hat-tricks, after Wietse Veenstra (three hat-tricks between 1964 and 1969) and Ruud Geels (two between 1970 and 1971).
Over the past three seasons, Breum has been directly involved in 30 goals, with 19 strikes and 11 assists. No other Go Ahead Eagles player has matched that this century.

First Player of the Month award
This is Jakob Breum's first Player of the Month award in the Eredivisie. The 22-year-old midfielder previously won Johan Cruyff Talent of the Month back in February of last year.
