AZ and sc Heerenveen main suppliers of the Eredivisie Team of the Month for February

•  AZ's representatives – Defenders David Møller Wolfe and Alexandre Penetra are included in the team on behalf of the Alkmaar side.
• Vasilis Barkas excels – The FC Utrecht goalkeeper stood out last month with the most saves (23) in the Eredivisie. No fewer than 15 of those came in the match against PSV (2-2) – the highest number in an Eredivisie match since March 2018.
• sc Heerenveen’s rising stars – Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Eser Gürbüz represent sc Heerenveen in the selection. Eser Gürbüz (17 years, 332 days) became the second-youngest goalscorer ever for sc Heerenveen in the Eredivisie after scoring against Fortuna Sittard. He also found the net against FC Twente and provided his first assist in the match against PEC Zwolle.
• Mohamed Ihattaren’s creativity – With one goal and one assist, Mohamed Ihattaren recorded the most goal attempts in February, ranked top 3 in chances created (10), and top 5 in penalty area touches (24).

The Eredivisie Player of the Month, Johan Cruyff Talent of the Month, and Eredivisie Team of the Month selections are determined based on Opta statistics and fan votes (KPN Man of the Match). These factors also contribute to the end-of-season awards: Eredivisie Player of the Year and Johan Cruyff Talent of the Year, which are presented at the Eredivisie Awards.
