Ajax returned to winning ways in the Dutch Eredivisie following a 3-1 win over NAC Breda.
Erik ten Hag's men had seen a five-match winning run come to a halt following a goalless draw away to Utrecht on Sunday (28th January) and they were made to work for the three points after falling behind early on.
NAC Breda striker Thierry Ambrose thumped in the opener after just six minutes from just inside the penalty area past goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The home side pressed for the equaliser and were rewarded in the 25th minute when Donny van de Beek headed in Justin Kluivert's cross.
David Neres put Ajax ahead for the first time in the 39th after intercepting a loose ball and beating four challenges before rifling the ball into the corner of the net beyond Mark Birighitti.
NAC Breda were reduced to 10 men in second-half stoppage time when Bart Meijers was shown a second yellow for bringing down Hakim Ziyech outside the penalty area. Ziyech picked himself up off the floor before curling a left-footed shot into the bottom corner.
The win sees Ajax consolidate second place in the table with 48 points, seven adrift of leaders PSV.
NAC Breda remain in the relegation play-off zone with 16 points.
