Eredivisie

7 fixture changes in September and October

Seven changes have been made to the Eredivisie schedule in the professional football competition. These adjustments were made in anticipation of further changes to the autumn schedule, which will be communicated by September 6th at the latest. Among these changes, new dates have been found for matches in matchday 3, such as Ajax vs Fortuna Sittard and FC Twente vs sc Heerenveen. Additionally, there are five changes in matchdays 7 and 8 due to FC Twente's elimination from the UEFA Champions League.

Nearly all of the match changes had already been noted as footnotes in the competition schedule published last June. These changes have now been implemented due to FC Twente's elimination from the UEFA Champions League. The matches Ajax vs. Fortuna Sittard and FC Twente vs. SC Heerenveen from matchday 3 had not yet been scheduled but have now been assigned dates after consultations with all involved parties.

Agreements

The changes to the competition schedule are partly based on the agreement that there must be at least two full days between matches. This is in line with the agreements made between all clubs and the competition board of professional football (KNVB, Eredivisie CV, and Coöperatie Eerste Divisie).

Matches can only be rescheduled if the schedules of the Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen Divisie allow it, if the local authorities of the home team can accommodate the new date and time, and with the approval of the professional football competition board.
